CESC IS CLOSER THAN EVER

All of you who regularly follow my blog know that I am a big fan of Cesc Fabregas. I think he hasn’t had it easy in his career and was brave enough to take his chance when it came: That was signing for Arsenal in 2003 following major interest from their first team coach Arsene Wenger. Shortly after that move, the young Spaniard started training with world-class starts such as Patrick Vieira or Gilberto Silva – Cesc was only 16 years old then. Would he be who is nowadays if he hadn’t left FCB? We will never know.

During his years in England, Fabregas has picked up several individual awards such as the Bravo Award 2007 (also won by Guardiola in 1992) or the PFA Young Player of the Year 2008. He is currently the captain at Arsenal and has shown signs of maturity at a very early age – With memorable performances for club and country. His current coach and the Gunner supporters are extremelly proud of him, and they are right to be. Cesc Fabregas is a world-class player and, luckily for us, an FCB legend in the making.

The Arsenal captain has reportedly announced to his relatives and closest friends that he will sign for FC Barcelona as soon as the La Liga campaign is over – And, similarly to David Villa, he wants to sign his new contract before the World Cup kicks off. He will quite probably sign a four year contract and have the option of extending it to a fifth depending on the number of appearances.
Força Barça!
