FCB TRANSFERS: ABOUT VILLA, CESC, IBRA, HENRY AND MARQUEZ

After a long day of negotiations, we can now say that FC Barcelona and David Villa have reportedly agreed a new contract. The Spanish star has been offered a 4 year deal with a salary of 7 million euros per season. The transfer fee will be around 42 million. The Villa deal should be officially confirmed by both clubs within the next 48 hours.

As for Cesc, Arsenal are not willing to sell him for less than 45 million euros. Barça’s starting bid is 35, considering that Fabregas has already expressed his desire to leave London and come back to his home club. At the moment, Yaya Toure has refused to be part of this deal, which means that FCB will have to pay quite a lot of money for the Gunner captain.

Chelsea and Manchester United have joined Manchester City in their interest for unsettled striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. It is believed that Ancelotti is looking for a long-term replacement for Drogba, who has got many offers to leave London this summer. As for Man U, Ferguson is not too pleased with Berbatov’s performance this season.

The Los Angeles Galaxy may be intersted in signing Rafael Marquez after the Mexican defender only managed to start 14 games for Barça this season. If he ends up joining the Major Soccer League in the USA, he may have to play against Thierry Henry, who is very close to agreeing a deal with the New York Red Bulls.
