Alexis Sanchez has reportedly admitted to his closest friends that he will want to wear FC Barcelona’s legendary Number 9 next season – which is currently Bojan Krkic’s.
To be honest, wearing Barça’s ‘9’ has become a bit of a nightmare since Samuel Eto’o was forced to leave the Camp Nou three seasons ago as part of the stupid Ibrahimovic deal.
The Swede Diva came as if he was some sort of rockstar, convinced that his fame would do the trick for him. Sadly for him, it didn’t. Ibra even demanded that Guardiola’s system was changed to accommodate him in the team which, obviously, our coach refused to do. The result? The Pep Team won La Liga with 99 points despite (not because of) Ibrahimovic, the most regrettable signing in Barça’s modern history.
FCB’s Number 9 then landed on Bojan, who had been promising in the previous 3 seasons. Strangely, his progression stopped and is now on his way out and, well, Alexis Sanchez seems to be next in line for the throne!
