Argentina crashed out of the Copa America after losing to Uruguay, 1-1 in normal time, 4-5 in penalties.
Despite Tevez missing his penalty, it would be terribly unfair to blame him for this defeat. When a football team is based around just one player (Messi) it’s hard to win trophies.
The Argentinian national coach, Sergio Batista, has already announced he won’t step down from his job but, to be honest, failing to qualify amongst the Top 4 in America with players like Aguero, Tevez, Mascherano, Pastore, Higuiain, Di Maria and Lionel Messi can only be considered as a major disaster.
Once again, I guess it will be up to Guardiola and his FC Barcelona teammates to lift La Pulga’s confidence up!!!
