Barça open the new La Masia youth residence

FC Barcelona have opened the new La Masia youth residence in Sant Joan Despi, where the Barça Sports City is based.

The new La Masia building is much more functional and adapted to modern times, where our youngsters will not only have a place to live and breathe football all day long but also study with their in-house teachers or relax with the latest technologies and even a games room!

– At 11MILLeu, it is clear FC Barcelona has taken Josep Lluís Núñez’s original 1979 idea into the 21st century. Any promising new footballer on Earth would be honoured to live in our new La Masia and learn from the coaches that modelled the careers of stars such as Leo Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Carles Puyol or Pep Guardiola.

As a born blaugrana though, it will be hard to walk around the Camp Nou and seeing the old La Masia turned into a restaurant/museum in the near future… I know it’s all for the long-term benefit of the club, but I’m currently suffering from a melancholy attack!!!!

ALWAYS PROUD TO BE BLAUGRANA, PROUD OF OUR CLUB IDENTITY, PROUD OF LA MASIA!!!!!!!!!
