Guardiola: 'Barça need a mentality change, we are running out of time'

Pep Guardiola: 'The 1-4 defeat against Chivas Guadalajara must be a wake-up call'

Guardiola: 'There are many details that need improving but this is the preseason and we have a long road ahead of us. I won't change our praparation plan, but it's clear we need to change our mentality. Having said that, my players have run and fought as hard as they always do'

Guardiola: 'The European Supercup against Porto and the Spanish Supercup against Real Madrid are near, we need to use our heads to improve as we are running out of time'

- Let's give this match the importance it deserves: Chivas were a much fitter side who took the game seriously as they wanted to prove their strength against the current European Champions. FC Barcelona considered it one of many friendly matches before the season starts. As Pep said, the team mentalities couldn't be further apart.

Motivation will NOT be a problem against Porto or Madrid, plus we will have the whole squad back from holiday.

FC BARCELONA GOT TRASHED BY CHIVAS. OK, TIME TO MOVE ON AND LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES.

TOTS UNITS FEM FORÇA, TOGETHER WE'RE STRONGER!!!!!!!!

It's not about Pinto although he's not really at his best level atm. The defence sucks. Barcelona really miss their jewel, Leo Messi, and the backbone of their defence, the best DM in the world, Masche. ♥

That being said, yes, the mentality is not right. It's complacent, too languid. Understandable, as FCB have won so much. What I say is bring back the awesome Argentines ♥ and the hungry Chilean. :) Alexis will fight it tooth and nail, as will the Argentina captain.

P.S. Jeffren should not have been sold.

The preseason is the time to experiment and learn a little more about your team. What I learn is that Pinto doesn't give me confidence as Valdez' back up. I don't know if Guardiola sees the same thing, but he can't just name Pinto the Copa del Rey starter. Valdez is the absolute starter unless he gets injured.

Some people think 1 Pre season loss is the end of the world for us
If Barcelona Wins there next game (which they will) Yesterdays game will all be forgotten. Don't for get we have 4 more cups to win (gamper trophy included, and the CLUB world cup During the season will boost they're confidence even more!), if we manager to win al of them beating Madrid in both legs of the super cup The confidence will go sky high Now stop loosing confidence in Barcelona and Lets get back to old ways, winning!!
