Iniesta: 'Barça wants to win every match but losing a friendly is not a problem'

Andres Iniesta: 'FC Barcelona obviously wants to win every match but, if we lose, it's not a problem'

Andres Iniesta: 'We trust our football style and these preseason friendlies are all about getting fit for the year ahead and giving young players a chance to prove their worth'

- I totally agree with El Blanquito Blaugrana, matches against Chivas or other similar MLS sides are more important for Barca's economic that sporting side. No need to panic just because we lost a friendly in Miami!!!

Most Barcablog fans seem to agree with me: I asked 'Are you worried about FCB's 1-4 defeat to Chivas?' on our Facebook page. These are the results:

Of course (12%)
Yes (6%)
A bit (16%)
No (66%)

No need to worry, once the season starts with the Spanish and European Supercups, things will get tougher and intensity will rise.

ALWAYS PROUD TO BE BLAUGRANA: THE PEP TEAM WILL NOT DISAPPOINT ANYBODY!!!!!

Losing a friendly is, of itself, definitely not a problem. Most of our top players did not play and those that did only played part of the game. However, the disrupted nature of our preparation is a concern. Thanks to the ludicrous scheduling of the Copa America, all of our South Americans are still absent. The fact that there is a plethera of meaningless friendlies scheduled for next week only makes things worse. Can anyone tell me how many of our players are affected. No wonder that the big clubs are looking to break away from FIFA.
