– The Madrid-based press have not missed the chance of barking against Pique for supposedly forcing his 5th yellow card and are already organising a full-blown media campaign against him, hoping to get him banned for El Clasico despite the fact the referee didn’t make any further comments on the matter.
To be honest, I wouldn’t expect any less from those envious, frustrated Madridistas. They have probably had enough of Guardiola’s men winning every trophy under the Sun and are beginning to wonder whether they actually have what it takes to beat Barça in 10 days’ time – despite being 6 points ahead of us!
FACT: Since Mou555inho took over as manager, Los Blancos have been awarded 18 La Liga penalties. FC Barcelona have only got 7 in that time. What are they complaining about then??
