Cesc scored his 14th goal of the season via a great header giving us advantage in the first half. Xavi, Iniesta and Messi were trying to combine in midfield, making Los Pericos chase after the ball, but passing was inaccurate at times.
More of the same during the second half: Espanyol fighting every ball fiercely, Barça trying to play on the floor when possible. Alexis and Messi didn’t receiving enough clear balls, our final passes weren’t great.
After 85 minutes, Alvaro managed to equalise for Espanyol, clearly unmarked inside our area, only yards away from Valdes. Sloppy defending!
Los Pericos made good use of their home advantage well, with the referee ignoring a clear handball inside the Espanyol area after 92 minutes – Even blind people saw the penalty!!!
