– Oh dear. After weeks of negotiation, FC Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao and the RFEF can’t seem to agree on where the Copa Del Rey final should be played.
As I explained in this previous article, this problem all comes down to the fact Florentino Perez has refused to allow the final to be played at Real Madrid’s Bernabeu stadium despite it being half-way through both cities and having plenty of capacity to host fans from both clubs.
To make things worse, they haven’t even agreed when the final will be yet – The 25th May seems the most likely possibility at the moment.
I am ashamed to see how badly organised things are in Spanish football, especially when compared to any other European ‘Big’ Leagues such as the Premier League or Bundesliga…
WHY ARE THINGS SO MUCH HARDER WHENEVER THE SPANISH RFEF ARE INVOLVED???!!!??
