Zaragoza - Barça >> Pre-Match Culé Talk, plus Video

Guardiola: 'Undoubtedly we are facing Zaragoza in their best moment. They have found good form and have beaten teams like Atlético Madridand Valencia. I’ve watched them and they’re very intense. It will be a tough game because there’s a lot to play for. Let’s see if we can recover from last week’s exertions and deal with the next three games'

Guardiola: 'With eight or nine games left until the end of the competition, the games against teams near the bottom of the table are the most difficult there are. I think they have a good chance of staying up, and that makes them even more dangerous. Zaragoza are a good example of a team that believes in itself, and as long as there is a still a chance, they’ll always keep fighting'

Guardiola: 'There will be time to think about Chelsea later. We now have a very intense week against three intense opponents, uncomfortable, defensive teams, and we’ll need to be alert. Always playing attacking football creates fatigue, more than you might think. We have to see what condition we are in. After that, it’ll be my pleasure to talk about Chelsea'

- Our Barça coach insists that they are going to La Romareda just as Zaragoza are hitting their best form and spoke about the difficulty of playing teams that are fighting against relegation.

This week's clash against Barcelona is a very difficult assignment, far more so than it looked a month ago.  Zaragoza have had four wins since the beginning of March to give themselves some chance of avoiding relegation. That means we will be playing a team still fighting for their future rather than one already resigned to their fate. Barça have always got three points at Zaragoza under Guardiola's coaching and we need them again in this clash. If we are to have a chance of winning La Liga, games like this one must be won.

Given that we had a huge clash with Milan midweek, it will be interesting to see which players Pep selects for this game. Gerard Pique is definitely unavailable after coming off injured against Milan. However, reports suggest that Xavi has recovered and is probably available for selection.

With three crucial La Liga matches this week before next week's Champion League tussle with Chelsea, squad rotation is essential. I would expect some changes from the team that faced Milan with Thiago, Adriano and Alexis all likely starters against Zaragoza.

For me, this game means a very early rise Sunday morning as the game kicks off at 4AM my time. A win would make getting up so early worthwhile.
