Gerard Deulofeu Leads Spain To Final, Ibrahim Afellay Offered To Arsenal, Busquets Compared To Riquelme >> My View On Today’s FCB News

Ibrahim Afellay Offered To Arsenal, Deulofeu Leads Spain To Final, Busquets Compared To Riquelme – My View On Today’s FCB News here:

Gerard Deulofeu was the star on the night with two goals and the decisive spot kick in the shoot-out victory against France, as Spain reached a third straight UEFA European Under-19 Championship final: “This isn’t a team, this is a family. I was fortunate enough to be the one to score two goals and the decisive penalty but we are collectively thrilled to have reached the final. I am just another player here in the team. We are so united that we are all leaders out on the pitch” – Great to see one of our most promising youngsters shining at international level. After consolidating his place at Barcelona B last season, the next step must be appearing with Tito Vilanova’s team more regularly. Is he ready to compete with Tello, Cuenca or Afellay at 18 years of age? It looks like it, he looked very sharp and strong last night!

Ibrahim Afellay appears to be on his way out of Barcelona in the summer transfer window as the Catalans have told his agent Rob Jansen that the Netherlands international is no longer needed at the club. An offer in the region of €6 million would be enough to lure Afellay away from Barcelona, and Inter and Arsenal are seriously considering making a move for the former PSV star – Afellay may not be our main attacker but can always be relied upon to perform at a good level. I hope Ibrahim can forget his injury troubles and show what he’s capable of. Having said that, we have a decent amount of La Masia talent competing for playing time upfront. I would be happy to sell him for offers around the 12M€ mark.

Carlos Bianchi has taken the time to praise Sergio Busquets, who he feels the Barcelona midfielder rarely puts in a bad performance: ‘Like Riquelme, Busquets can speed up the game not by his own speed, but by his intelligence. He rarely plays badly. It’s no coincidence that the best Spain ever comes at the same time as the best Barca in history” – Exactly! I am aware there is a numerous amount of Busquets haters out there but what they fail to realise is that Sergio has been key to Barcelona and Spain from a very early age, giving his teams an extra boost in terms of balance, defensive status and creativity. How much would Sergio Busquets be worth if Barcelona had to buy him? Exactly! A tremendous player worth millions!
