Lionel Messi, who is still recharging batteries with his family after his second consecutive year of international heartbreak with his national side, won’t be rejoining his Barcelona teammates until August 3, once his fully-deserved 30-day holiday is over.

Having received plenty of severe criticism following Argentina’s defeat in yet another major final, it is clear that La Pulga must take as much time as needed in order to become mentally ready for the exciting challenges ahead, with completing the sextuple the obvious yet ambitious target.

Similarly to the quadruple Ballon d’Or winner, Neymar has also been granted extended leave in a move that, undoubtedly, is bound to frustrate a considerable number of sponsors and fans who were expecting see the Brazilian youngster in Barca’s U.S. tour.
