Monday night's game was not nearly as exciting as Friday night's first leg, but few Athletic games will be and none of their players, staff or fans will have cared. Aritz Aduriz was ...

Referee Velasco Carballo killed Barcelona's sextuple
Barcelona, in terms of football, didn’t deserve to win the Spanish Super Cup. Their ridiculous performance at San Mames, when they lost 4-0 to Athletic Club, pretty much sentenced the tie. Only a miracle comeback at Camp Nou, which would have been epic, would have ...

Dani Alves: No excuses for Barcelona

Who will win La Liga in 2017/18?

The 2016/17 season was not one that we Barca fans will want to remember. We won’t talk about how that lot from Madrid won La Liga. We definitely won’t talk about Juventus. So, what else is there? Well, of course, there is the future. Let’s talk about that!
Things can change very quickly in football and if last season wasn’t one of our finest of all time, there’s no reason to say that the next one can’t be. The dust has yet to even begin to settle on the 2016/17 campaign, but here we assess our chances of reclaiming La Liga in 12 months’ time.
Barca are actually favourites in the very early La Liga betting for next term. We’re priced at odds of even money, whilst “they” are a shade longer at odds of 11/10. Indeed, lest any real gloom linger for too long, you should also know that the oddsmakers have installed Barcelona as favourites for next season’s Champions League too!
Lionel Messi and co are rated as a 9/2 shot to lift the Champions League in 2018. Again, that other bunch from the cap…

Neymar must stay to secure Barcelona long-term success

Neymar has been excellent for Barcelona since he joined the Catalan giants back in the summer of 2013. Despite the many question marks over whether he would accept to share the spotlight with Lionel Messi, his professionalism off the pitch and even the legality of his transfer, the Brazilian youngster has made a remarkable impact and deservedly become a Camp Nou favourite.

As our partners as Sbobet Mobile know, Barcelona are not currently leading the La Liga table but nobody in their right mind would rule them out of retaining the title. If the Blaugranas are to leapfrog Real Madrid before the end of the season and win the league for the third consecutive season, Neymar has a huge role to play in the nine games remaining.

Fortunately for Cules, Neymar is currently playing the best football of his whole career. Fully established at both club and international level, the No.11's confidence and excellent form makes him a constant danger that rivals constantly struggle to contain -- …
