Gerard Pique wants Real Madrid to lose every game — And rightly so!

Gerard Piqué is definitely not your average footballer. Although his commitment on the pitch is unquestionable regardless of whether he is competing for either Barcelona or the Spanish national team, his unique personality and blatant honesty off the pitch causes him to be at the centre of unwelcome controversy far too often.

The Catalan centre-back has been whistled and jeered in an unusually hostile manner while on international duty with Spain, in Spain. Yes, you read that right: Piqué, who delivered a string of stellar performances that ultimately brought the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championships to a country labelled as perennial underachievers for decades, is now treated as an enemy by his own supporters.

Barcelona’s No.3 has received such a significant amount of abuse that current Spanish manager Vicente Del Bosque, teammates such as Iker Casillas or Andres Iniesta, ex-players and even members of parliament have all publicly expressed their support for the player and correctly pointed out that the only way for La Roja to achieve further success is by putting an end to the jeering, refocusing on football alone and remaining together.
