Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Neymar fail to impress for Barcelona in Roma

Barcelona are not at their best yet and, with that in mind, the point gained in this 1-1 draw vs. Roma at the Estadio Olimpico can be interpreted as a fair reward after an unimpressive display in the Italian capital.

With the hosts fairly comfortable to sit back in their own defensive third and hoping for a quick break on the counter, it was down to Luis Enrique’s men to take the initiative and chase the victory from the moment the ball started rolling.

Although Roma did cause Barcelona some problems on the rare occasions when they pushed further up the pitch, the visitors’ overwhelming control of the game ensured that creative players such as Andres Iniesta and, especially, Lionel Messi had plenty of time to think of their next move.
