Yerry Mina meets new teammates | Sport

Colombian centre-back Yerry Mina has arrived in Barcelona and met his new teammates for the first time at training. Having been signed for 11.8 million euros from Palmeiras, he should be expected to join them at practice shortly.

The most notable introduction for Mina aside from Messi was that of Ousmane Dembele, who said that he didn’t speak Spanish when asked by the new member of the Blaugrana. More here.

Unlike the trip to Vigo, Barcelona will not need to travel very far for the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey when they meet rival Espanyol next week. Espanyol come into the tie after slipping by Levante in the previous round of the competition.

Barcelona’s representative at the draw, Guillermo Amor, emphasized the same sentiments that Ernesto Valverde has focused on with each new fixture. “The draw is good, we are two teams that know each other well,” he said, “we have mutual respect and will not have to travel.” More here.
