Eibar 0-2 Barcelona aka Illusion and Calm | Barcelona Football Blog

Appreciating this Barça team is to appreciate a certain kind of luxury, an ease that makes it necessary to see, not just watch. Barça visited Eibar, a cabbage patch with chunks of turf missing, a quite actual ground that was only watered when a downpour visited.

Eibar, seventh in the Liga table and not patsy Eibar any longer, was at home and in the midst of a compelling run of form, sniffing around European spots. And they came at Barça. It’s a bad deal if Coutinho is a substitute in La Liga matches | Marca

The club secured the signing of Coutinho by paying 155 million euros, the most expensive signing in Blaugrana history, yet the question as to whether it was worthwhile can’t be answered if he is never seen.

“A counterattack was enough to take the victory. You almost think it’s an injustice that PSG lost by such a big margin because it was a game that should have ended 1-1, 2-2 or 2-1 for PSG.” More here.

Harry Kane outscored Messi, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, last year despite playing 12 fewer games, and Nicholas says he is now in the same bracket as the Barcelona superstar.

Nicholas told Sky Sports: ‘He could’ve scored three or four last weekend against Arsenal. We’re starting to think is Harry Kane up there with Messi? And he probably is. The reason for that is because it looks so effortless for him. The mix of goals he gets as a number nine, is quite remarkable. More here.
